Managed Databases from DigitalOcean are a fully managed & also high-performance cluster service . Using managed databases represents a powerful alternative to manually install, configure, maintain and secure databases. Managed databases are multi-regional and scalable. Also automatic failover ensures that even single-node plans make the network more robust. Furthermore Private networking will allow you to create a new database cluster.
MySQL
It is the most used Data base engine of Digital Ocean. MySQL is an open source, object-related database built with a view to speed and reliability. Its large and active community of developers has created many third-party applications, tools, and libraries that expand the functionality of MySQL.
Plans and Pricing
- For a single node cluster with 1 GB of RAM, single node clusters start at $15/month. There are no highly available single node clusters but they support automatic fail-over. Such clusters are a good fit for testing and preliminary growth.
- When you add at least one matching standby node for automatic fail-over, high availability clusters start at $50/month for the 2 GB RAM/1 vCPU plan.
